Good point. However, with this suggestion implemented 18 teams will not make the playoffs. That is still a good sum of teams who miss out. Adding two more WC slots to each league doesn't really make it all the way easy to get into the playoffs, teams will still have to have 88 to 90 wins to be good enough to make the playoffs with the exception of some squads in certain years. I stated before how this could get teams that feel a little discouraged by their monster division rivals to actually make those off-season or deadline deals that could potentially boost them into the playoffs, thus creating more revenue and fan support, thus making the entire league a bit more competitive, and a bright spot about this is that it doesn't mess with the talent levels in anyway. It's not like the NBA or NHL where half the league makes the playoffs, 12 teams out of 30 still have to be better than over half the league to make the playoffs.
