Yankees accept. Get specs for rebuild, give cash to help with Millers contract.

Accept. Get a 1b who can mash until Humphreys and Steger are ready for the big league. Cash helps me afford this.

Veto based on Pfeifer being in the trade despite just being signed in the off-season after a bidding war.

From my understanding, Andy had already given the ok to move him.

I think this might cause a "Wait, but he did it and you said it was okay" type deal"...

Yeah this was cleared with andy.

There was another deal that had a sign and trade player taken out of it earlier this offseason:

I'm having trouble grasping why this situation is different than the situation with Milwaukee and Smith - if anything, Pfieffer got far more action in free agency. I'm against putting a full sign and trade rule back in the league, but if it's going to be applied in an inconsistent way, that might be what we have to do.

but, did andy actually veto that with timmy smith in it or did jmaine and sxr just decide to not worry about it and take him out of the deal? i think we need to get that confirmed first, then go from there.

Just putting my 2 cents in that I don't think this is a good idea. Sign and trade doesn't have to be super strict, but I don't think players that just signed a contract should be able to be traded until July.
